Fujitsu and Qualcomm Technologies jointly announced carrier aggregation communication scan at 5G, announcing that they have successfully communicated data with a peak communication speed of more than 3Gbps.

This test, which was conducted in combination with the 3.5GHz band (n78) and the 4.9GHz band (n79) of fujitsu’s test base station, will be the first demonstration of 5G carrier aggregation. Qualcomm said the Snapdragon X55 chip could deliver a peak performance of up to 5Gbps in carrier aggregation in the sub-6GHz band, a milestone in its implementation.
Fujitsu said in the announcement, “We are pleased to be able to provide a comfortable and advanced network for both carriers and users through the high-frequency, broadband and beamforming technologies and know-how we have cultivated so far, and this carrier aggregation.”
