Android share in China exceeds 8 percent for the first time in seven years – iOS is on a global decline

Aung Consulting, which is engaged in marketing and consulting services in Japan and abroad, conducted surveys and results on major OPERATING systems and model manufacturers in the mobile environment in 40 countries and regions around the world between March 2019 and March 2020.

Android maintains overwhelming share worldwide

The survey found that Android’s share in China has exceeded 80 percent since 2013. In addition, Android’s share grew in 14 countries and regions, including the Philippines, India and Brazil, and exceeded 80%. In these regions, Samsung and Huawei have increased their share by model, and the company said that a significant increase in market share by model is also affecting its share by OS.

On the other hand, the share of iOS was larger than Android in eight countries: Japan, Australia, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Denmark and Norway.

There are a myriad of options available, from low-cost machines to luxury machines, and android smartphones sold by many manufacturers are likely to be chosen by many users around the world.
