Ono is from Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture.

After graduating from The University of Japan, I played for Toshiba in 2001.

Ono played as a forward with a good physique and plenty of momentum, and played in the most successful match for the Japan national team.

He has played in the World Cup for three consecutive games since 2007 and contributed to a historic victory over South Africa, a powerhouse in the 2015 Tournament of England.

Toshiba announced on Sunday that Ono will retire from active duty for the season.

Ono has not been in good condition this season and has not played in the top league, which has been cut off along the way due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

Ono is going to hold a retirement press conference on the web this month.
