Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said, “I am pleased to be able to contribute to the new coronavirus countermeasures and, in turn, the medical and health fields of Turkey, at the opening of the hospital.”
Turkey’s President Erdogan also said, “I pray that the opening of the hospital will further develop the friendship between Turkey and Japan.”
This hospital is a general hospital with more than 2,600 beds consisting of general wards and pediatricwards, and was originally scheduled to open next month, but it was opened in advance to cope with the spread of the new coronavirus.
