Dell Technologies and Google Cloud will work together on hybrid cloud storage systems to offer Dell Technologies Cloud OneFS for Google Cloud.
The release of Dell Technologies Cloud OneFS for Google Cloud will be an effort to create a flow of data between the clouds. Dell Technologies will work with Google Cloud to simplify the management of private and public cloud storage. The system makes it easy to move up to 50 petabytes of data on a single file system between Dell EMC’s Isilon and Google Cloud. There is no need to fix the application.
Dell also said that by strengthening the Dell Technologies Cloud, it has reduced barriers to hybrid cloud deployments and improved overall functionality. Dell Technologies Cloud said the VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid and VMware Cloud Foundation 4.0 will enhance support for modern and traditional applications regardless of cloud location. The Dell Technologies Cloud Platform provides a simple way to handle Kubernetes from a single environment, with the same Dell EMC VxRail infrastructure that supports containerized workloads and traditional virtual machines. Dell has also announced the next generation of VMware Cloud on Dell EMC, expanding subscriptions and services for Dell Technologies On Demand. Dell EMC SD-WAN Solution powered by VMware has been improved to increase appliances and bandwidth for choosing to quickly deploy SD-WAN in a single solution.
Brian Payne, Vice President of Cloud Product Management at Dell Technologies, said the company has added capabilities for enterprises looking to manage on-premises, cloud, and edge computing workloads. “There is a strong desire to digitize and drive change,” he said, “and customers are looking at the cloud providers they need and the framework for AI and machine learning as a whole.”
