ON MAY 22, JR EAST AND NEC ANNOUNCED THE INTRODUCTION OF A BUSINESS SUPPORT SYSTEM UTILIZING CLOUD AND AI ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNOLOGY TO THE TOKYO GENERAL COMMAND OFFICE, WHICH MANAGES THE OPERATION OF RAILWAY LINES IN THE TOKYO METROPOLITAN AREA. It will start operation on the 25th.

In addition to supporting the sophistication and judgment of information sharing in the operation management department in the event of a transportation failure, the system also aims to promote technology inheritance.

In particular, the routes in the Tokyo metropolitan area are in a complex form of operation, and direct operation with other routes is also increasing. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the operation management business for the recovery at an early stage in the transportation trouble such as the accident, the trouble, and the disaster. The prototype was repeatedly developed using the serverless environment of the cloud, and practical business support functions were developed by constantly reflecting and improving the opinions of command staff.

Based on these, in the event of a transport ation failure, it will also develop a decision support function to propose arrangements and lessons for similar events in the past, and a technical inheritance support function to be used as educational content in normal times.
