Frankfurt, the First Division of Football, has announced that it has signed a new one-year contract with former Japan national team player Makoto Hasebe. It was also decided that Hasebe would be an ambassador for the club after he left the club.
The 36-year-old Hasebe has played in the German First Division since 2008 and has been in Frankfurt since 2014.
The club announced on Sunday that they had signed a one-year contract until the end of next year, along with a photo of Hasebe signing the contract on Twitter.
The club also revealed that hasebe will be appointed ambassador for the club after he leaves the club.
Hasebe said on his Instagram, “The world is in a very difficult situation right now, but football is no exception. I feel a strong message that the club has offered me a contract extension. In this daily life, where every day is a game, I want to give everything for the team, chewing every moment.”
