The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has decided to consider distributing approximately 80 million cloth masks distributed to nursing homes and other facilities to the desired facilities, based on the fact that there have been voices from the site saying that they are not needed now.
The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare postponed the distribution of 80 million cloth masks that were scheduled to be distributed from the end of this month, based on the fact that some nursing homes are being distributed to employees and users of nursing homes and facilities for people with disabilities, based on the fact that some nursing homes have voiced that “what is needed now is not cloth masks.”
At a meeting of the opposition parties held on March 30, a person in charge of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare said that “we will consult with the Minister and draw conclusions on how to deal with the future based on various possibilities.”
The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare decided to cancel the original plan to distribute additional facilities to the facilities it had distributed so far, and to consider distributing them only to the facilities it wanted.
On top of that, the surplus cloth mask is expected to be stockpiled.
