Chiba Corona Virus Measures to Cancel Self-Restraint Request for Dinner on September 10 at 2:05 AM

Chiba Prefecture has decided to lift the request for self-restraint for meals with five or six or more people, which it had requested from prefectural residents as a new type of coronavirus countermeasure, as of October 10. However, we will continue to call for measures to prevent infection from reaching the other party, such as keeping a low conversation during meals.
Chiba Prefecture has been asking prefectural residents since July 30 to refrain from eating meals such as banquets and drinking party for more than five or six people due to a series of infections of the new coronavirus that are thought to be caused by meals.

However, since the end of last month, the number of new infections in the prefecture has been gradually decreasing, and the average number of people infected in the last week has fallen below 30, and the use of sickbeds at medical institutions has been relatively low, and we have decided to cancel the request for self-restraint on the 10th.

However, since meals are at high risk of infection and measures still need to be taken, we avoid talking modestly and loudly, and we call on people to wear masks to prevent them from flying during conversations.

Chiba Prefecture will hold a meeting of the Countermeasure Headquarters on October 10 to determine these policies.
