Who We Are:
We are looking for a well-rounded, HR Business Partner to join the Japan / Korea People Team. Reporting to the Lead HR Business Partner for Japan / Korea, this HRBP role partners closely with the functional & regional Business Partners, Employee Relations, Employment Legal, International Compensation & Benefits, Career Experience, HR Operations, Learning & Organizational Development, Inclusion & Diversity and mid-level managers to deliver the full spectrum of HR support to the employees in Japan and Korea.
What You’ll Do
Partner with the Lead HR Business Partner in the execution of HR activities including performance management, talent planning, promotions, employee engagement programs, and other Learning & Development, and Inclusion & Diversity initiatives as and when needed.
Manage probationary cases and provide HR support and consultation to the business, answering employee and manager queries about HR programs, policies and other HR-related topics.
Liaise with the People Operations team and partnered vendors on employee life cycle activities, including new joiner and leaver processes.
Serve as the point of contact to the middle managers, Japan / Korea employees, Centers of Excellence, and partnered vendors on all HR activities, including performance management, training, coaching and leadership development initiatives.
Facilitate the monthly New Hire Orientation sessions for our new hires.
Analyze large sets of data, formulate it clearly into a report or presentation, and develop recommendations that will best support the needs of employees in Japan / Korea.
Foster and maintain strong internal relationships with key HR colleagues globally (including the functional and regional HR Business Partners teams, People Operations, Career Experience, Employee Relations, Employment Legal, Inclusion & Diversity, and Learning & Organizational Development).
Who You Are: Who You Are:
An experienced HR professional who has worked in a generalist role for a minimum of 5 years in an international organization, with experience supporting Senior HR Business Partners on key HR initiatives including promotions, talent planning, performance management, as well as Learning & Development and Inclusion & Diversity efforts.
English and Japanese language fluency is a must (both written and verbal); Korean language fluency is an added bonus (but not required).
Have strong communication skills, with the ability to read, write fluently, and articulate clearly.
Have strong technical skills (Excel, Powerpoint and Word / Google Docs) with the ability to analyze large sets of data and formulate it clearly into a report or presentation.
Basic excel skills is a must (vlookups, pivot tables, comfortable using basic formulas). Strong experience creating professional deliverables on Powerpoint.
Have strong attention to detail.
Working knowledge of Japanese and Korean labor laws is an advantage.
A proactive self-starter and a team player, passionate about driving projects end-to-end.
Have strong relationship-building and team collaboration skills.
Comfortable working in a globally distributed workforce and in a fast-paced, ever-changing, rapid-growth environment.
Able to successfully manage a high volume of work with multiple priorities and with minimal supervision.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience as an Associate / Junior HR Business Partner or an HR Generalist in an international organization.
Given the role supports both the Japan & Korea market and will liaise with our stakeholders from our Headquarters in San Francisco and colleagues in Dublin and Singapore, fluent Japanese and English is a requirement.
Strong technical and analytical skills with an eye for detail.
Must have a global mindset and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, international organization with minimal supervision.
