Pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca today announced the resumption of clinical trials in the UK after British regulators confirmed that the vaccine for the new coronavirus, which it is developing in collaboration with Oxford University, was safe to resume.
AstraZeneca revealed on August 8 that it had temporarily suspended clinical trials to validate safety data on the vaccine.

The Japanese government reached a basic agreement with AstraZeneca last month to receive a supply of at least 60 million people, of which 15 million are expected to be supplied by March next year.
