On the afternoon of the 14th, the Liberal Democratic Party held an extraordinary board meeting and a general meeting after the general meeting of members of both houses of parliament, and decided to entrust the appointment of new party officers to Kan and the new president.

After that, Kan and the new president held a press conference on personnel affairs, and said, “We will take the plunge and appoint people who fit my policy direction. I would like to promote human resources mainly for people who are willing to reform and who show their understanding of reform.”

Before the new system was decided on the 15th, New President Kan confirmed his intention to appoint Mr. Sato, former Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications of the Aso faction, as Chairman of the Board of Governors.
As kan’s new president, Mr. Sato is one of the senior officials of the Aso faction of the second faction in the party, and the first election is expected to be used in consideration of the synchronization and friendship from before.
