Digital Technology Utilization Event To Subsidize Part of Cost For Small and Medium-sized Organizers September 27 at 5:26 AM
As various events have been cancelled and postponed due to the spread of the new coronavirus, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has decided to subsidize part of the cost of holding events that use digital technologies, such as online business meetings.
Events such as large-scale product exhibitions are also valuable opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses, but the spread of the new coronavirus has forced them to cancel or postpone across the country.
For this reason, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has set up a new business model for the event industry by supporting the organizers of relatively small events.
Specifically, we will subsidize a portion of the cost of holding the event for small and medium-sized organizers who are making new initiatives using digital technology, such as holding business meetings online.
In addition, we aim to build a new business model for the event industry by supporting the development of a system that can perform business negotiations online while checking products three-dimensionally by utilizing VR-virtual reality, etc.
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will request 500 million yen for the approximate budget for the next fiscal year as a project expense necessary for such efforts.
