Economic Trends Index in August Rises from the Previous Month October 7 at 2:20 PM

The Economic Trends Index for August, released by the Cabinet Office, showed that the index showing the current state of the economy rose 1.1 points from the previous month.
This was the third consecutive month of improvement, and the economic judgment, which is mechanically guided by the movement of the index, was revised upward from “deterioration” to “stopped lowering.”
It is the first time in a year and three months that the economic outlook has been revised upward.
