In the afternoon of September 9, Hachijo-cho, Tokyo, released information on evacuation preparations for people living in sediment disaster warning areas in the town.
As of 1:00 p.m. on October 10, Yajo-cho has opened evacuation centers in six locations in the town.
The shelters are:
Zhao Sanne Community Center
Kashiwa Health and Welfare Center
Multipurpose Hall of The Hachijo Town Office
Zhao-Oga-go Community Center
Kashiwa Mihara Elementary School Gymnasium
Sosuekichi Community Center
As of 1:00 p.m., a total of 13 people have been evacuated to these shelters.
