As an alternative to the Zao Tournament, a ski jumping women’s World Cup in Yamagata City, which was canceled due to the new Coronavirus, the team has entered into coordination to host one individual match at the Sapporo Tournament in January next year.

The World Cup for Women’s Ski Jumping is scheduled to be held from January 8 next year at Okurayama Jump Stadium in Sapporo City.

On the other hand, the Zao Tournament, which was scheduled to be held in Yamagata City from January 15, was announced last month due to the difficulty in securing personnel to prevent the infection of the new coronavirus.

Under these circumstances, the executive committee, the International Ski Federation, and the All Japan Ski Federation, which are organized locally and in Sapporo City, discussed how to hold the Sapporo Tournament privately on the evening of April 4.

According to those involved, the International Ski Federation was asked to host one individual match of the Zao Games at the Sapporo Games, and the Executive Committee indicated its intention to consider it positively.

As a result, in the Sapporo tournament, in addition to the two individual matches scheduled from the beginning, the team went into coordination to hold three matches in total, one individual match to replace the Zao tournament.
