A summit meeting of BRICS and five emerging countries, including China and Russia, was held, and the two countries announced their willing to work with each other to develop, produce and supply vaccines for the new coronavirus. The two countries also want to strengthen relations with other countries over vaccines and take the initiative internationally.
The leaders of China, Russia, India, Brazil and South Africa, BRICS, and the five emerging countries, were held online today.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has already approved two new coronavirus vaccines and is developing a third, he said, “We will conduct clinical trials of vaccines with India and Brazil. We have also signed agreements with pharmaceutical companies in China and India to establish production bases for vaccines for third countries.”

President Xi Jinping also referred to the international cooperation system aimed at fair distribution of vaccines that the United States does not participate in, while China participates, and said, “We will use this foundation to share vaccines preferentially, especially in developing countries. BriCS is ready to actively provide vaccines to each country.”

China and Russia also want to strengthen relations with other countries over vaccines and take international initiative against the United States.
