We actively seek a Enterprise Support Engineer, PJS2 (Peoplesoft, JD Edwards, Siebel) – Japan. This is a remote / office based position in Japan.

Position Summary

The role of the PJS2 Enterprise Support Engineer is to provide exceptional remote-based support for mission-critical PJS2 applications as part of our global customer support team. The position carries the responsibility for researching, troubleshooting, and supporting multiple Product lines for our clients in Japan. A qualified candidate will have the expertise and skills to communicate and manage the diagnosis of serious or complex issues in integrated and highly configured environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage several key assigned accounts as an expert and strategic partner to the customer.
  • Helps in solving complex customer issues using methodical troubleshooting with an expert knowledge in at least one of the PJS2 product line applications functionality and technology.
  • Work closely with customers on a daily basis to understand their needs, support business change and deliver a consistent high-quality customer experience
  • Cultivate a network of tactical and strategic stakeholders at key customers and work alongside Rimini Street Account managers to create real partnerships with those clients.
  • Support client customizations, sharing implementation and best practices advice.
  • Helps in developing application break fixes for critical product defects. Create scripts to identify, analyze and correct data issues.
  • Provide hands-on assistance using proprietary tools in a test environment or via remote client connectivity.
  • Be a pro-active contributor to a support organization which is running 24x7x365, this will require the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays and monitoring email regularly outside standard business hours
  • Contribute to the development and management of knowledge-sharing methodologies, diagnostic tools, and creative processes, to improve the client experience.
  • Collaborate with team members in a virtual team environment to extend field experience to different client situations.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

  • This role may require occasional limited regional travel.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.

Location Experience

  • 12+ years relevant experience in any of the PJS2 products (Peoplesoft or JD Edwards or Siebel)
  • Experience of managing customer relationships to ensure that product line casework is smoothly handled between the client and Rimini team.
  • Extensive functional and technical knowledge in any of the PJS2 products.
  • Has knowledge in more than one ERP with good understanding in at least one ERP (Peoplesoft or JD Edwards or Siebel).
  • Experience in supporting multiple clients in a remote environment and managing complex, critical customers.
  • Understands and translates customers communication which includes both written and verbal from Japanese to English and vice versa.
  • Acts as liaison and consults subject matter experts within the organization in order to understand specialized concepts and translate them appropriately.
  • Ability to effectively manage conflict situations and ensure team’s processes, tasks are carried out efficiently.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with a variety of internal and external roles, from technical contributors to senior management.
  • Hold scheduled conference calls with assigned customer accounts to understand business impacts of key critical issues and mimics back to the Internal team.
  • Extensive functional and technical knowledge in any of the PJS2 products Demonstrable history solving complex problems across multiple modules.

  • Expert knowledge in any of the PJS2 product lines in latest application version through the most current version and associated Technical Tools and bundled technologies.
  • Ability to triage and troubleshoot in any of the PJS2 product lines functionality in a production environment.
  • Strong knowledge in any of the PJS2 product lines application module functionality.
  • Deep knowledge in any of the PJS2 product lines customization / extension methodologies.
  • Ability to maintain and communicate a good level of technical detail in client interactions where information is provided by team members who do not speak Japanese.
