Job offer: Supply Chain in Tokyo with Intel


The Substrate Business Group (GSM ATS) is looking for an Industrial & Operations Engineer to join the Supplier Factory Operations Supply Chain IE Team. This team primarily works on optimizing and improving the substrate supplier manufacturing processes for best capital, material consumption, operational, and Space efficiency. The role designs, develops, and applies engineering, mathematical models and optimization models to drive solutions to complex manufacturing and supply chain problems. This position is ideal for the generalist IE who enjoys all facets of factory modeling, design, and operations. Responsibilities include: o Developing / analyzing models and metrics with R & D partners to measure equipment, factory capacity, and operational performance in order to identify improvement opportunities.o Influencing the design and development of equipment to maximize output and space utilization at the suppliers.o Develop and maintain accurate standards in the Model of Record (MOR) for equipm ent capacity & materials consumption at various product / process developing milestones.o Work with suppliers and internal partners to validate MOR (model of record) and drive closure of gaps in actual factory performance to committed and targeted performance, increasing supply predictability.o Insure the Most efficient use of capital investment vs. capacity needs at the suppliers including balanced tool ramp strategies, collateral strategies, and WIP / Cycle Time management. The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits: o Willingness to spend time on the manufacturing floor for extended periods to collect data thru observationso Quality and attention to detailo Organizational, prioritization, planning, time management skills and ability to work under tight deadlineso Structured problem solving (eg Six Sigma cert) o Communicate ideas using written and verbal means at all levels of management and across diverse functional teams (manufacturing, finance, operations, plannin g, R & D, etc.) while being able to apply active listening skills to deliver consistent results.o Capability of working in a rapidly changing environment and tolerance of ambiguity.o Teamwork and ability to manage priorities in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
?? Candidate must possess a BS or MS in Industrial Engineering, or related field,
?? Minimum of 3 years of experience in the following areas:
o Capacity planning
o Supply Chain Operations
o Excel
o VBA and / or Python programming skills
o Data analytics: data mining, data collection, organization, statistical design.
o Building and validating parametric mathematical models
o Stochastic modeling (discrete event, Monte Carlo simulation)

Preferred Qualifications:
?? Minimum of 5 years of experience in the following areas:
o Working knowledge of the manufacturing operations, flows, equipment, material handling systems, facilities and factory capacity / capital systems
o Experience in semiconductor industry capacity planning and factory operations methodologies
o Multiple Criteria Decision Analysis Database systems
o Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
o Knowledge of supply chain management principles
o Willingness to travel internationally to suppliers Inside this Business Group
