Job Overview and Responsibilities
Overall description:
The Product Safety expert will support and contribute to the implementation of the Product Safety processes in Japan and the zone AP.
He / she will ensure SDS, DG classification and labeling compliance with local regulations.
He / she is customer centric, and will support the GBUs in the development of new products / new markets, to ensure global compliance of their products used and placed on the Japanese markets.
He / she will ensure chemical management compliance with Japanese regulations by tracking the new regulations concerned.

Reports to: Manager of the Cluster Essentials
The responsibilities include:
To support and contribute to the implementation of the Product Safety processes in the AP zone
To ensure SDS, DG classification and labeling compliance with local regulation.
To manage SDS Shipment failures and propose and implement improvement to manage SDSs more effectively (REAL_GROUPs, bulk management, etc.).
To support and contribute to make product description
To support and contribute to the new substance registration in Japan and to ensure the local compliance when import / export products including R & I samples
To ensure the compliance with local regulation before start operating new products
To ensure the chemical management compliance with Japanese regulation by tracking the new regulations concerned.
To have contacts with authorities, associations and consulting intervention in Japan
Trade Legal control by using SAP system (GTS)
To collaborate with Supply Chain and commercial team based upon request from customer
To lead and prepare guidelines in collaboration with stakeholders to manage Japan specificities.
Education and Experience
Education & Qualification
Chemistry education background, Master is preferred.
Experiences
- 7+ years experience in Product Safety domains
Skills
Familiar with Product Safety regulations and knowledge
Experienced with new substance registration in Japan
