As a Global Operations Intelligence Scheduling and Simulation, Engineer, at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be part of Micron’s Global Planning Team scheduler of world class talent. You will be responsible for the end to end creation of Micron’s next generation, advanced, factory scheduling and automation systems that will be deployed throughout the global network of manufacturing sites.

You will collaborate with some of the world’s best team members to define leading-edge ways to improve manufacturing capability, establish global business process, and delivery industry benchmark methods across global manufacturing sites.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced factory scheduling and simulation solutions that enable the achievement of industry leading manufacturing capability
  • Create capability and establish BKM in code development, testing, version control, and core engine development
  • Drive global collaboration and alignment of Operations Intelligence practices and development activities
  • Establish, maintain, and track Key Performance Indicators with the ability to provide future forecasts
  • Drive innovation by identifying and adopting the latest industry best practices
  • Collaborate with Global Layout and AMHS for the next generation scheduler design that enables optimal factory configurations
  • Promote a culture of health and safety by evaluating practices, procedures, and designs to ensure we are executing to required safety standards

Minimum Requirements

  • Programming language: SQL, Python, C #, APF; experience with Visual studio, Teradata / Snowflake, Tableau and GIT.
  • Direct experience with factory scheduling, simulation, and application development.
  • Knowledge in machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, operation research preferred
  • The proven ability in multi-tasking and prioritizing complex projects
  • The proven ability and willingness to continuously learn and improve skills, especially with technical skills, programming capability
  • Strong problem-solving skills with logical approach
  • Able and willing to travel overseas
  • Proficient in English, strong communication skills (verbal, written)
  • Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, other technical disciplines or equivalent professional work experience

Main duties

  • Design and develop advanced factory scheduling and simulation solutions that enable you to achieve industry-leading capacity
  • Establish BKM by developing code, testing, version control, and simulation core engine

  • Establish, maintain, and trace key performance indicators with the ability to predict the future
  • Drive innovation by identifying and adopting the latest industry best practices
  • Work with Global Layout and AMHS for Next Generation Scheduler Designs for Optimal Fab Layout
  • Promote a culture of health and safety by ensuring that the required safety standards are implemented through practice / procedure / design evaluations

  • High ability to solve problems based on logical thinking
  • Overseas travel is possible
  • Fluent in English and has high communication skills (verbal, written)
  • Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, production engineering, operations research, or other technical fields, or equivalent professional work experience
