The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology has also decided to gradually introduce programming education in elementary and junior high schools from 2020, and to make “Information I” a compulsory subject in high schools from 2022. Part of this is the addition of “information” to the university entrance exam common test. According to the University Entrance Examination Center, at the government cabinet meeting in June 2018, “In order to improve the high math and mathematics ability at the end of compulsory education, regardless of humanities or science, even after entering university, a common test for university entrance will be conducted in Japanese. , Mathematics, English, and other basic subjects such as “Information I” (computer mechanism, programming, etc.) will be added. ” Therefore, the “information” of the common test will be the content of information I. The reason why the government is focusing on these movements is that, as many have already pointed out, there is a serious shortage of IT human resources and even DX human resources. According to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, if the IT market grows at an annual rate of 3-9%, there will be a shortage of up to 790,000 IT personnel in 2030. However, when it comes to IT human resources, companies have the image of engineers who belong to the IT department, but when it comes to DX human resources, it is necessary to recognize that they are not limited to the IT department, but also from management to business workers in the workplace. With that in mind, we should think that ultimately everyone must change, rather than lack of people.
